Hey Jeffo,

I have been coming to your site for a long time and I applaud you and what you have tried to do.

I moved from Amarillo about 16 months ago because there is nothing worth staying for in Amarillo. Now I've got a job making about twice what I could ever make in Amarillo, and there is such a nightlife in Austin. I will never come back to that red-neck hole in the ground again.

Amarillo will never have a music scene because the ones that wanted one have left like me. The ones that stay just put up with the crap, and if they don't want to help make a music scene, then they have no one to blame but themselves.

I used to check out amarillo nights every day and then came here when I saw the link to it from amarillo nights. You and Brock had a great idea, but only a handful of people gave a f*** and wanted to support you guys. Goodluck in your future endeavors, and if you are in Austin give me a call or email and I'll show you a real music scene!!

Amarillo does not suck. It's people like you that make it that way. You only see
the bad things and don't look for the good. Personally I would hate to live in
Austin. It's too big now and crowded. If you could make the music scene that you
wanted for yourself, then that's your problem. What's better about Austin
anyways. When you play there are people there because there are always people
there? They don't care what is playing, and probably don't even notice who or
what is playing either. When I get on stage I prefer to have the crowd up there
rocking with us. I can't stand to perform in a bar that everyone is sitting at
tables talking to each other and not paying much attention to the band. That is
my experience from performing in many of the places there.

Amarillo does suck. But hey, that's just my opinion. I didn't like it so I
left and now I'm happy (living in Vegas). If you don't like it, LEAVE.
Amarillo doesn't change much and I guaranteee, rock and roll is very low on the
list of priorities of those who have the power to change it. 10 years now I've
been hearing the same old BS from musicians and rock fans in Amarillo. C'mon!
Put 2 and 2 together!!!
