FYI all,
I lost my job on Friday. My bills keep things pretty tight and I will be cutting lots of expenses. I'm not sure yet if the web will go too yet or not, but if I get desperate, I will have to give that up temporarily too. I'm already getting my resume out there on the web and looking around. Due to the time I will be spending looking and the fact I may have to drop my connection, Project Amarillo may be left on auto-pilot a bit and I will check in now and then when I can. I'll try to keep the newsletters and bulletins going out too, but they may end up going out at different times then you are used to, or not at all. Thanks for everyone's support and keep on adding your events to the calendar, because it's automatic and once submitted, is up for everyone to view!

This began as a post on the Forum, but I kept on typing and thought this would be a better post on the site itself!! It's time for me to rant about the local music scene again, and put out a request for others to get involved in the local scene!!
Those of you that have been with me for a while know that sometimes I go off and get pissed about the local music scene and the attitudes that go with it. Well I'm heading back to some of that again, because some dumbass pushed my buttons tonight.

Sorry for the delay. Those wishing to add events and venues can do so again. There were a few bugs in the updates to the programming, that are now fixed and working fine.
Those wishing to submit their live music, events, and venues to the calendar will need to register first. Once registered you can add new events and venues, and also add links and new articles / stories to Project Amarillo!!

The comments area has been changed to a different look. When you view the comments under the stories and articles, there is a "Write Comment" bar and a "+ Comments" bar.
To view the comments, just click the "+" on the Comments bar to open up the comments. The comments now give a lot more information. If a registered member adds a comment, their name is linked to their profile page. Also if they have an avatar associated with their profile, it will display next to thier comments. If they enter their website url it will also display next to their name. You can now reply to comments, and quote the comments. There is now a voting feature, so you can click the thumbs up or thumbs down to give your opinion of the comment.

With the change out of the comments coding, the area below each story/article will not have the boxes that you currently see. The email and print icons will appear at the top of each one again, like you can see at the top right of this post.
Also, I have added something new at the bottom of each page at Project Amarillo. The "ADD THIS" button allows you to bookmark the current page, email it to a friend or yourself, and add a link to many different social sites, such ass Digg, Del.icio.us, Technocrati, etc... So if you want to bookmark any page at Project Amarillo, just click the button and send the link/review to the social site of your choice. |

We had our contest drawing tonight at 7:00 pm. There were many entries but we could only pick one.
We want to congratulate Carla Sable!!
Carla won the T-shirts from Faktion, 32 Leaves, and Cult to Follow, a signed drumstick from Faktion, CD's from Cult to Follow and 32 Leaves, and a signed CD from God or Julie. These were the items given to us by the bands at concerts they were performing at here in Amarillo in the past few months. We want more of these shows where we can pick up more swag and give it away to their fans in Amarillo.
