FYI all,

I lost my job on Friday. My bills keep things pretty tight and I will be cutting lots of expenses. I'm not sure yet if the web will go too yet or not, but if I get desperate, I will have to give that up temporarily too. I'm already getting my resume out there on the web and looking around. Due to the time I will be spending looking and the fact I may have to drop my connection, Project Amarillo may be left on auto-pilot a bit and I will check in now and then when I can. I'll try to keep the newsletters and bulletins going out too, but they may end up going out at different times then you are used to, or not at all. Thanks for everyone's support and keep on adding your events to the calendar, because it's automatic and once submitted, is up for everyone to view!

We want to congratulate Carla Sable!!

Carla won the T-shirts from Faktion, 32 Leaves, and Cult to Follow, a signed drumstick from Faktion, CD's from Cult to Follow and 32 Leaves, and a signed CD from God or Julie. These were the items given to us by the bands at concerts they were performing at here in Amarillo in the past few months. We want more of these shows where we can pick up more swag and give it away to their fans in Amarillo.

This will be our first ever contest at Project Amarillo!

After the Chevelle, Finger Eleven, and God or Julie concert we mentioned that we received a signed CD from God or Julie. We will be at the Theory of a Deadman show on Wednesday night at the Midnight Rodeo. We hope to pick up a few more cool things from the show. If not we have other items that you will want as well.
We will be giving these items away to one of you! The official rules and entry forms will be made available Friday the 25th, here at Project Amarillo.

Those at the concert on Wednesday night will have the opportunity to pick up cards for extra chances to win! T-Bone and Jeff will be at the show, we will be wearing our badges to let you know who we are. The first 60 to find us, and ask us about the Project Amarillo Concert Contest, will get a card that lets them have 5 entries into the contest. Only one per person. If you are with friends, they will each have to ask us, because we are only giving one to each person

There will be a hint of the new badges posted Tuesday, about 10pm, at Project Amarillo. If you want to know what they look like then you will need to check back for the hint!

Also we will be giving you a look at the CD Tuesday night too. The rest of the items you will get are not decided on yet. That depends on what we come back with from Wednesday's concert!

Comments Changes! Print E-mail

The comments programming has been restored.
However, all new comments will be saved but not displayed until they are approved by an administrator!

We didn't want to do this, but due to those who wish to use the comments to push their spam and crap on us, it will keep those comments from showing up. We are looking into a few changes, such as adding a captcha or other security device to keep the automated bots from using this feature for other purposes.
When adding a new comment, please be patient and your comment will show up once it has been reviewed. If it is not related to the article, such as spam with links and such, then it will be deleted!

Some of you already know, and maybe some of just found out, but Project Lubbock has been in the works for a while now. I've wanted to start up a sister site for Lubbock for about a year now. Now things are happening and the new site will be available very soon!

I played around with it a few months ago, but things were put on hold a while back when upgrades began happening here at Project Amarillo. This site is working fine now and almost all of the bugs have been worked out. I took a break and haven't done much to the site for the last couple of weeks. I needed a rest from all the programming. Things are far from done here though, because many more changes and new features are planned soon.

After two years online, Project Amarillo is still working hard to get you the music and entertainment information you are looking for. There have been so many new changes in the past few months, that things are starting to get a bit crowded on the front page. So I will be doing a little bit of rearranging and will try to get things easier to get to, and reduce some of the clutter now taking up the space.

The current bands page is way too big and I'm working with the local musicians on a new band page. This page will soon replace the old page. The Forum recently had a big upgrade with lots of new changes. I have been testing out a few new programs for the links page(s), and should have something new available soon.
