Some of you already know, and maybe some of just found out, but Project Lubbock has been in the works for a while now. I've wanted to start up a sister site for Lubbock for about a year now. Now things are happening and the new site will be available very soon!
I played around with it a few months ago, but things were put on hold a while back when upgrades began happening here at Project Amarillo. This site is working fine now and almost all of the bugs have been worked out. I took a break and haven't done much to the site for the last couple of weeks. I needed a rest from all the programming. Things are far from done here though, because many more changes and new features are planned soon.
But things here are on hold now, while I put my energy into ProjectLubbock.com. I love the new look of Project Amarillo, and Project Lubbock will look very similar. But I want to give Lubbock a unique site that isn't an exact copy of Project Amarillo. I have emptied the server at Project Lubbock and started uploading the latest programming tonight. Most of the features Project Amarillo will be the same there and some will not. I will be trying out a few new additions, and if they work out well, then they might come over to Project Amarillo as well.
What I'm looking for now is to start building the bands and venue areas of Project Lubbock as soon as possible. I'm looking for images of bands, either on stage or otherwise. I'm also looking for venue information and images as well. If you are in a band or your a solo musician, I'm looking to add a page(s) for you on the site too. The submission area of the new site isn't quite ready yet so anyone interested please use the submission form here and please tell me in the comments area at the bottom that you want your page created at Project Lubbock. If you wish, you can ask for pages at both Project Lubbock and Project Amarillo, just let me know. For any images you want to let me use on Project Lubbock, please send them to music @ project lubbock . com (take out the spaces), or tell me where to go to download them. You can also get in touch with me at http://myspace.com/projectlubbock
If you know bands in Lubbock that don't know about Project Amarillo, please let them know about Project Lubbock and tell them to come here and get in touch with me. I want to give Lubbock, Texas there own place on the web to promote and get the word about to their fans. So spread the word and get ready for ProjectLubbock.com very soon!!
