The comments area has been changed to a different look. When you view the comments under the stories and articles, there is a "Write Comment" bar and a "+ Comments" bar.
To view the comments, just click the "+" on the Comments bar to open up the comments. The comments now give a lot more information. If a registered member adds a comment, their name is linked to their profile page. Also if they have an avatar associated with their profile, it will display next to thier comments. If they enter their website url it will also display next to their name. You can now reply to comments, and quote the comments. There is now a voting feature, so you can click the thumbs up or thumbs down to give your opinion of the comment.
To add a comment click "Write Comment" or "Add New" and fill in the boxes. The only mandatory fields are name and your comment in the big box at the bottom. Now you can change fonts, colors, and other features. If you enter your email address, it will not be displayed on the comment, to keep the spammers from getting it. It is only used to notifiy you of new replies if you want it to. There is a search feature, and you can get an RSS feed of the comments if you want.
There is captcha code to fill in at the bottom to keep automated bots from spamming us. It is not case sensitive and if you can't read the characters, then click it to refresh with a new code. Registered members will not have to use the captcha field, and it will not display for them.
Also, the latest comments in the left column have been arranged a bit different and now are green, instead of the plain blue that the rest of the links are set to. When you hover your mouse over the comments there, you will see a preview of the comment as well.
Extensive testing was done at Project Lubbock with the new comments programming and we feel all the bugs have been worked out. We love the new comments and think you will like them as well. If you are having any problems don't hesitate to contact us.
